The problem

A wrong start is expensive to undo.

Setting up a Thai company means choosing the right structure, then completing several registrations in the right order. A wrong shareholding or business objective is costly to fix later.

We plan the structure with you first, then handle every filing until your company can open a bank account and issue its first invoice.

Choose your structure

Four ways to set up in Thailand.

The right vehicle depends on what you will do here, who will own it and whether it will earn revenue. We recommend one in writing before anything is filed.

Option A

Thai limited company

  • A separate Thai legal entity
  • Can trade, invoice and hire staff
  • The most common route for SMEs and foreign founders
Option B

Branch office

  • An extension of your foreign company
  • Can earn revenue in Thailand
  • The parent stays liable for the branch
Option C

Representative office

  • For non-trading support activities
  • Cannot earn revenue in Thailand
  • Useful for market research and liaison
Option D

Regional office

  • Coordinates your group's regional affiliates
  • Cannot earn revenue in Thailand
  • Suited to multinational groups

At least two shareholders for a private limited company.
